What are the Auctions?

Flash news!  If you are interested in the electronic book (PDF file) version of this product, please continue reading.  However, a fully web interactive version is now available as well.  The Apex Austin Property Screener makes researching the auctions that much faster.

The County of Los Angeles sells properties for which property taxes have not been paid: 3 years or more for non-residential properties, and 5 or more years for residential properties.  The auctions are open to the public, and take place once or twice a year. A large number of properties are typically made available – over 3,000 at the most recent Auction 2012A held in October 2012.

The County sells a catalog of auction properties, but it literally is just that: about half a thousand pages of densely packed surveyor-speak.   The following is a sample page out of that book.  It is page 278, buried at about half way into the 600 page catalog.

A crucial first task for the auction investor is to identify interesting properties  – researching potential catalog bids one by one, hour by hour, day by day.  This is time wasted never to be regained; time wasted  much better invested in money making.  Prior to the Apex Austin L.A. County Enhanced Tax Sales Catalogs, discovery was a task best assumed by those with much time and many resources.

Now, with the the Apex Austin Enhanced catalog, look again:
